This page provides some guidance as to how to best print the Neighbourhood Watch Newsletter.

Printing Directly From Web Browser

This is the simplest method. Within your web browser, navigate to the printable version of the newsletter (or crime sheet). On the web browser's "File" menu, select "Print" or "Print Preview" (if available).

Note that printing directly from the web browser may result in various headers and footers containing time, date, web address, etc. These can easily be removed by changing the setup of your web browser. To do this, on your web browser menu select "File" menu, then "Page Setup...". Remove all headers and footers - ensure that the Header and Footer fields are cleared/blank.

If the printout does not fit on one page, you may need to adjust the margins of your web browser. Again, select "File" menu, then "Page Setup...". Ensure that your margins are suitably small, say 5mm.

If the printout still does not fit on one page, you may need to adjust the font size of your web browser. This is typically found under "View" menu, select "Text Size" - select Medium - if that is still too big, select a smaller font.

Importing Newsletter Into Editing Package

If you wish to import the newsletter into MS Word, then good luck!

If you really need to import the newsletter into another package so that you can add your own sponsor advert, I suggest Open Office - this is a completely free and no strings attached. It is a Microsoft Office compatible Suite which will load and save MS Office documents, as well as import web pages, including the newsletter. It runs on MS Windows platforms, as well as Macs and most forms of Unix including Linux
