The West Downs Watch

The Arun Watchword Newsletter

Compiled monthly by the Arun Neighbourhood Watch Association. In addition to general information concerned with crime prevention it provides a list of burglaries committed during the past month. Each entry on the list is made as and when it is reported providing an up to date record that is accessible on the web site twenty four hours a day. Hard copies of the Newsletter are distributed to every Co-ordinator and in many areas to every household member.

"Ringmaster"

A computer driven message recording system which enables the Crime Prevention Co-ordinator to record messages(s), select the relevant Co-ordinators, and transmit it to them over the telephone network. Each selected Co-ordinator will be called in turn, if the call is not answered Ringmaster will proceed to call the next Co-ordinator and deliver the message. Having initiated all the calls the system will make two separate and repeated attempts to the unanswered numbers.
